Sujit R. Varma, MBBS, FAPA, attended Manipal Academy of Higher Education/Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, in India, and received his medical degree in 1997. He then undertook a fellowship in mood disorders at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed a psychiatry residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (1999-2003). In addition, Dr. Varma received board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American Psychiatric Association.
